The mission of the Center for
Public Policy Research (CPPR) is to provide
state government and other agencies with services essential to inform program policy decisions.
In particular, CPPR:
- produces literature reviews, policy analyses, formal reports, and technical writing services
- provides methodological support to state government—offering state agencies access to technical expertise in the fields of sampling theory, statistical methods, and research design
- has the capability to conduct survey research and research involving experimental design.
- tracks research related to social policy issues such as child care, welfare sanctions, corrections, and rehabilitation issues
- organizes conferences and facilitates working sessions
- offers customized training on key policy issues
